Connecticut Sun v Minnesota Lynx – WNBA
Today we are looking at a rematch between Connecticut Sun and Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA. These two teams have already met each other this season, in fact, they have played against each other on Wednesday, with Lynx coming out on top by 2 points (80:78). Connecticut will have a great chance to revenge their recent loss today in front of their own crowd, but will they be able to defeat one of the biggest favorites to win the league?
Connecticut Sun are currently at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, losing all 3 games played against Atlanta (74:81), Indiana (81:79) and as previously mentioned Minnesota (81:79). Sadly all their losses were close matches, so we cannot say Connecticut are playing badly, but there is room for improvement. Our previous betting preview involving Connecticut Sun: Link
The last match against Minnesota Lynx turned out to be much closer than expected. Connecticut were playing decently well throughout, but arguably gave up the win in the 3rd quarter, when they were outscored by 10 points (27:17). We saw Connecticut trying to repair the damage in the last quarter (18:24), but the time ran out before they could catch up to Lynn, who managed to hold on to the lead they acquired in the 3rd quarter.
If we learned anything from the match on Wednesday is that Lynx can be beaten and that Connecticut can be strong if they perform as they can. With that in mind, I can see Connecticut being able to defeat Lynx or at least finish the match as close as they did. The home ground advantage could help them perform better compared to Wednesday’s match but we mustn’t underestimate Lynx.
Prediction: Connecticut Sun +6 points
