Mouscron v Zulte Waregem
When 2 rivals play against each other it’s hard for that match to go unnoticed. A match between Mouscron and Zulte Waregem is a promising one, in a way we can expect a fierce fight at Stade Le Canonnier.
The hosts are currently at 15th place in the league. With only 3 points from 5 matches played it’s a terrible start. There is something I see in this squad, and that is inconsistency. When a team can beat Genk (0:4), just to draw (2:2) the next match against bottom of the league team (Westerloo) you can say the team is inconsistent.
Last season was a close call for Mouscron, finishing in 14th place, avoiding relegation by just 1 point. With a poor performance they showed, I would not be surprised if they were relegated. But I guess the luck was on their side.
Now for the guests. Waregem did not perform exceptionally well in the recent matches. A draw against Oostende (1:1) and a defeat against Genk (1:0) brought them only 1 point. But these two teams are a strong competitors, in addition some may argue Waregem deserved more in those two matches. Still, Waregem is a good team, under the guidance of coach Dury. They are well organised and have got quality players in their roster.
VERDICT
Mouscron is one of the worst teams in Belgium Jupiler league in my eyes. Despite some new players to boost their squad, I don’t see Mouscron as a real threat to Waregem. In that regard I would be surprised if Waregem lost the match, so a bet on the guests +0 is a great pick.

Eupen v Oostende
As I mentioned before Oostende is a strong team and arguably one of the big contenders for play off 1. Last year Oostende finished at 4th place, with 49 points. I expected more, but they lost quite some points because of poor goalkeeping. Now that is taken care of, with a new goalkeeper Proto. The team is now pretty decent in all aspects (after fixing the problem in the goal). Mousona and Canesin are both technical players, who give headaches to the opposing defenders. I think Eupen has to know that, and prepare themselves for Oostende, who has a lot of power in the front line.
Eupen is back in Belgium Jupiler League and the return is quite painful. Eupen only managed to get 4 points out of 5 matches played. Losing against Waregem (3:0), KV Mechelen (0:2) and Charleroi (3:2). They only managed to win against Westerlo (1:2), who are still at the bottom of the league with 1 point. The main problem I see in Eupen is their defensive line. 11 goal conceived in the last 5 matches or in other words more than 2 goals/match is a clear sign there is some work to do. That fact is in favour for Oostende, who have got some good attacking players, who will surely use the opportunity to score goals.
VERDICT
Oostende is simply a team with better quality players and now with reinforced back line, I would like to see them finish the season in a good position. On the other hand Eupen is just not up to par to Oostende, who are a class above them. Expect Oostende to walk away with at least 1 point today.
