Cleveland Cavaliers v Milwaukee Bucks – NBA betting preview and prediction
After their 1st encounter approximately 2 weeks ago, Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks will play again, only this time at the home of the Cavaliers, Quicken Loans Arena. With the 1st match ending in a 97:116 win for Cavaliers, they will try to repeat their success again in hopes to bounce back from a loss against Atlanta Hawks (115:117).
Cleveland has not started the season that well, winning only 4 games out of 10 played. Currently, they are at a 13th spot in the East and they will need to step up their game if they want to be relevant this season. Looking at their current form, they have lost 5 out of their last 6 games, which is nothing to be proud of. Looking at the last game of Cleveland, they have played against Atlanta Hawks at Quicken Loans Arena. The game started off terribly for Cavaliers, who were behind by 9 points by the end of the 1st quarter, which has not changed in the 2nd quarter when teams scored only 17 points each. The teams went into the 2nd half with a score showing 45:54 for the visitors. The 3rd quarter was once again in Hawks favor, as they managed to add another 4 points to their lead, thus leading by 13 prior to the last 12 minutes. In the last quarter, Cavaliers played much better compared to their previous quarter, managing to get really close to Hawks, but still failed short of 2 points in the end. The game ended in a 115:117 for Atlanta.
Milwaukee Bucks are currently on a 3 game losing streak. IN the course of those 3 games they have lost to Oklahoma City Thunder (91:110), Charlotte Hornets (126:121) and most recently Detroit Pistons (105:96). Looking at the match against Pistons, it was arguably lost due to terrible performance in the 2nd quarter, when Pistons outscored Bucks by 9 points. In the 2nd quarter, Bucks shot with only 38.1% accuracy, whereas Pistons had a 60% accuracy from the field. Other than the 2nd quarter, the match was relatively close. Antetokounmpo was again the top scorer with 29 points and is living up to the hype, but it seems as he isn’t getting much support from his teammates, which harms the team as a whole.
Verdict & Prediction
There is a serious issue with Cleveland chemistry and without the doubt their morale. On the other side, Bucks are in an arguably worse shape compared to Cleveland. This could easily be a close match, but for me, Cleveland is a slight favorite. Expect LeBron to shine once again, maybe not with 57 points, as he did against Wizards, but enough to help his team get another Win.
Prediction: Cleveland Cavaliers -4.00 points
Odds: 1.85 Pinnacle
