In tonight Eastern Conference matchup, we will see Detroit Pistons hosting Milwaukee Bucks at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Detroit Pistons currently sit at 11th position in the East, with a record of 15-18. Their form in recent 5 games is ranked the worst in the division with 4 losses and 1 win. Pacers (90:105), Bulls (113:82), Grizzlies (86:98) and GSW (113:119) all proven to be too strong of an opponent for Pistons, whereas they did manage to defeat Cavaliers (106:90) on Thursday. In the match against Cavaliers, Pistons took advantage of Cavaliers, who were fatigued after the match against GSW. In addition LeBron James was sidelined to rest. This proved to be enough for Pistons to win their first game after 5 losses. Detroit led the game by 6 at the start of 2nd half and they keep adding more points to their lead in 3rd (26:20) and 4th (30:26) quarter. Pistons shot 44.1% from the field with 12 turnovers and 12 steals, on the other side Cavaliers shot 38% from the field with 22 committed turnovers and 8 steals. Top scorers of the match were; Harris (21pts(, Irving (18pts) and Caldwell-Pope (18pts)
Tonight’s visitors Milwaukee Bucks are coming from a defeat against Washington Wizards (107:102). It was quite a painful loss, as they had a chance to beat Wizards for 2nd time after a win at home (123:96). Bucks were leading by 4 heading into 3rd quarter and held the lead of 2 points going into last 12 minutes. But their offence let them down in the last quarter as they only scored 18pts with 37.5% FG. This gave Wizards an excellent opportunity to close the margin and take the win from Milwaukee hands. And they did.
Wizards shot 50.6% from the field, committed 17 turnovers and stole the ball 7 times. Bucks shot 47.1% from the field with 13 turnovers and 8 steals. Antetokounmpo led the Bucks scoring with 22pts. For Washington Beal (22pts) and Porter (32pts) scoring led them to another home win.
Verdict & Prediction
There is not much between these two teams. Historically Detroit are better in all of their last 5 games played, but this season’s form shows that the result might not be that one sided. Pistons had some luck with facing fatigued Cavaliers without one of their key player (LeBron James) and that is the only reason why they even had a chance to win that fixture. Bucks on the other side did not show anything spectacular recently neither, but they did manage to put up a decent fight against Cavaliers on 2 occasions. To sum up, this could end up being a close match, so giving an advantage of 3 points to the visiting side should be enough to secure a winning bet.
Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks +3 points
Odds: 1.96 Pinnacle
