Detroit Pistons v Sacramento Kings – NBA Betting preview and prediction
After a spectacular win against Bucks last night, Detroit Pistons will try to add another home W against Sacramento Kings, who will travel to Little Caesars Arena in this Cross-conference match-up.
Pistons are coming into this match after winning over Milwaukee Bucks at Little Caesars Arena, with Antetokounmpo shining once again but was unable to bring his team a W. In that match we saw Bucks leading up until the finals minutes of the 1st quarter, even by 9 points at some point of the first 12 minutes, however, Pistons managed to caught up with them and were leading by 2 points prior to the 2nd quarter. The result was tied once again in the middle of the 2nd quarter at 40:40, but Detroit pushed for a lead and managed to accumulate double digits lead before heading to the lockerrooms (59:48). At this point, it was clear Bucks need to step up their game if they wish to compete against Pistons who were eager to come back after they lost to Lakers on 1.11 (113:93), which broke their 4 games winning streak. Despite that, Bucks were unable to close the gap in the 3rd quarter and the 4th and Pistons deservedly won the match, which put them in a 2nd spot in the East with a season record 6-3.
The visiting team, Sacramento Kings are in a terrible form currently and when I say terrible I mean they have only won one match out of 8. Currently, they are on a 6 game losing streak, with their only win coming from a match against Dallas Mavericks, who are at the moment the worst team in the NBA (1-9). The last match for Sacramento Kings took place in TD Garden, Boston, where they met no other but Boston Celtics. The final outcome of the match was no surprise, with Celtics taking a huge win with 27 points to spare (113:86). There is not a lot to say about that match, as Celtics were a superior team throughout. The biggest problem Kings are facing at the moment is their poor shooting performance, failing to score more than 86 points in their last 3 matches.
Verdict & Prediction
Neither of the team impressed us much. Yes it’s true Pistons won their last fixture and were on a 4 game winning streak, but they suffer from poor defensive work. On the other side, Kings are unable to put up any significant points. This match could prove as a great opportunity for Kings to bounce back, as they had a few days to rest, whereas Pistons did not. Calling out a winner here is hard because as mentioned before, neither of the team is really shining at the moment. But we do expect this to be a match Kings will be able to finally get close or maybe even over 100 points, and same goes for Pistons.
