Astralis vs Bad News Bears

Astralis are now 1-1 at ESL Pro League Season 14 with an opening match win over Team Spirit, followed by a 0-2 loss against ENCE, who beat them 16:9 on Ancient and 16-11 on Nuke. I don’t really blame Astralis for losing on a new map, but seeing them drop the ball on their own map pick – Nuke, where they have historically performed well – against a team that is obviously just a bunch of international aimers and no brain, is quite something.
Lukas ‘gla1ve’ Rossander had a terrible performance yesterday, managing only 3 frags and 0.66 HLTV rating across the two maps, but on a more positive note, their new AWP player Philip ‘Lucky’ Ewald looks to be fitting into the team nicely. He ended the series with 37 frags and 1.06 HLTV.
Bad News Bears continue their losing streak and have yet to win a single map or even reach double digits. But can you really expect them to get anything out of meetings against the big dogs like Heroic and Vitality?
Bad News Bears played better yesterday against Vitality, but I can’t say I was impressed. They did just enough to ruin our bet on Under 50.50 rounds.
I don’t think there is any value betting on this match since it should be a clean 2-0 for Astralis. However, if you want to bet against BNB, you could consider Astralis with -5.50 maps on maps one and two at 1.66 (Unibet).
Expected Result: Astralis 2-0 Bad News Bears
Suggestion: -5.50 Rounds on Map 1 & Map 2 in favor of Astralis, 1.66 at Astralis
ENCE vs Team Spirit
Wednesday, August 18 – 16:45 CEST
ENCE enter this match off an impressive 2-0 victory against Astralis. Even though the Danes are not as good as they once were, beating a big brand like Astralis should give ENCE a nice morale boost, knowing that they just won against a bunch of CS legends.
In their ESL Pro League Season 14 opener, the Finns lost against Team Vitality (0-2), although that game could have easily gone the distance. Unfortunately, ENCE were a bit unlucky at times.
Team Spirit are now 0-2, which is disappointing, considering that their players have been playing FPL almost every day during the player break and should have done much better. Then again, Spirit lost against Heroic and Astralis, who are much better teams than ENCE.
Despite their iffy showings, Spirit should be able to take care of business against ENCE, and it’s fair to say that a positive result today is a must for the Russians. Before their losses against the Danish squads, Spirit were priced at only 1.55 to win this match – those odds looked much fairer than the current offer of 1.72. Value with Team Spirit!

Heroic vs Team Vitality

Heroic and Team Vitality have both won their opening two matches at ESL Pro League Season 14. Heroic demolished Bad News Bears and Team Spirit, while Vitality beat ENCE and Bad News Bears.
Even though Vitality are playing much better than before the player break, they’re quite there yet. Their match against ENCE was very close, and they have had a few iffy moments against Bad News Bears. The French have one of the best players in the world, which is certainly a positive; however, if you look at the rest of the roster, there isn’t really a player who can frag if Zywoo goes quiet.
Before ESL Pro League Season 14 began, the odds were 1.88-1.93 in favour of Heroic and in my opinion, that offer was much more accurate. Vitality are not as bad as it may seem, and if they can stop making questionable mistakes we have seen them do in their two openers, they can definitely grab a W here. Value bet on Vitality!
