League of Legends – LCS Spring Week 6 – Day 2

100 Thieves vs Team Liquid
Sunday, March 1 – 12:00 PST

Team Liquid have edged past Team SoloMid on Saturday to secure their second consecutive win of the Spring Split, despite fielding Edward “Tactical” Ra instead of their star ADC Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, which speaks volumes about the team’s quality.

Despite their slow start, Team Liquid are improving and although it would be hard to rank them as one of the top three teams in LCS just yet, they’re clearly a superior team compared to 100 Thieves and should walk away with a win. Priced at 1.409 on Pinnacle, betting on Team Liquid might not be the best bet to take, however, given that 100 Thieves are not a pushover. Although they lack serious quality to compete for the Spring title, 100 Thieves have shown enough to make us believe they can stand their ground against Liquid and keep them on their toes.

Pinnacle is offering 1.84 on over 19.5 kills, which is arguably the best bet to take. Although there are arguments to be made to back Team Liquid at -6.5 kills, they still lack the needed consistency for us to believe they can stomp 100 Thieves this Sunday.

Prediction: Over 19.5 kills – 1.84 at Pinnacle

FlyQuest vs Dignitas
Sunday, March 1 – 13:00 PST

Dignitas have been struggling with their performances in the opening weeks, mostly due to their inconsistency and volatility. It seems like they will either completely stop their opponents or completely fall flat, which does make predicting their games very difficult. If there is one thing that we have learned, however, they are a team that is not afraid to fight.

The only player who has been consistently good on this team was Henrik “Froggen” Hansen. As for the remaining four members… not so much. Given their iffy performances, we would not side with Dignitas to win here and the 4.5 kills handicap seems way too low here. FlyQuest looked very strong and consistent in the last two weeks and if they can continue playing at the same tempo, they should come out ahead with at least five kills to spare.

Prediction: FlyQuest -4.5 kills – 1.925 at Pinnacle

Counter Logic Gaming vs Team SoloMid
Sunday, March 1 – 14:00 PST

Team SoloMid suffered a crushing defeat against Team Liquid on Saturday, but that does not take away from the fact they are a solid team that seems like should comfortably secure a spot in the playoffs.

Counter Logic Gaming on the other side have seen some improvement, however, can easily still be ranked as the worst team in the league. Nothing is clicking in this team and it’s clear that they will not achieve anything this Split. Morale is at all-time lowest and considering they have failed to show any quality, we can’t expect anything from this team.

The kill handicap is set at 7.5, which seems a bit too high for this match. Team SoloMid, while undoubtedly a stronger team tend to play at a much slower pace, which suggests they might struggle to cover the line. Due to TSM late-game focus, we might see a slower match, which suggests an under 21.5 kills bet would be best suited for this bout.

Prediction: Under 21.5 kills – 1.806 at Pinnacle

Golden Guardians vs Evil Geniuses
Sunday, March 1 – 15:00 PST

Evil Genuises have very weak sidelanes that tend to struggle in the laning phase and pick up the pace in the mid-late game. Golden Guardians, on the other side, have the exact opposite problem – while they tend to get ahead in the early game, they fall off significantly in the mid-late game.

Due to the playstyle of the two sides, this clash is a perfect recipe for an exciting match with plenty of kills on the board. The total kills line is set at 21.5, which is way too low and should be easily reachable as it’s hard to expect a slow match or a complete stop by either side.

Prediction: Over 21.5 kills – 1.833 at Pinnacle
Longshot: Golden Guardians to win – 2.340 at Pinnacle

Best Bet: FlyQuest -4.5 kills – 1.925 at Pinnacle
