League of Legends – LEC Spring Week 9 – Day 1

Rogue vs SK Gaming
Friday, March 27 – 18:00 CET

There is no universe where SK are a stronger team than Rogue and while upset wins are possible, especially in the final week of splits, Rogue have their playoffs spot on the line for this match, which is why we can’t expect anything less but a dominant win from them.

Prediction: Rogue -9.5 kills – 1.877 Pinnacle

Vitality vs Misfits
Friday, March 27 – 19:00 CET

More or less the same concept as with the first game of the day. Misfits, while a team that has had a few iffy moments this split are still far superior to Vitality and should be capable of dominating this match. It’s worth noting, however, Misfits are on a three-game losing streak, which somewhat inflated the odds. Nonetheless, 9.5 kill line should be within Misfits’ reach.

Prediction: Misfits -9.5 kills – 2.010 at Pinnacle

Schalke 04 v G2 Esports
Friday, March 27 – 20:00 CET

Schalke 04 truly had a redemption run over the last couple of weeks and although it was way too late for them to salvage anything from this split given their poor start, Schalke at least looked half-decent with their three-game winning streak which they earned against SK, Misfits and Vitality.

Despite their surge in form, it’s highly unlikely they can cause any serious damage to G2 Esports this Friday. That being said, G2 already have their top-four finish sealed, meaning we can be almost certainly a more “for fun” and unorthodox draft might be afoot. To be fair, G2 can play any team comp they wish and they would still come out ahead. That being said, this match will be anything but slow and boring, which can mean only one thing; there will be plenty of kills on the board.

Prediction: Over 29.5 – 1.912 Pinnacle – Best Bet

Excel vs Origen
Friday, March 27 – 21:00 CET

A team that has already lost their ticket for playoffs and a team that has already secured a spot in the top-four of the spring split will duke it out in a match that is more of a formality than anything else. That, however, can mean only one thing. Neither side will take this match too seriously, as it’s the case with G2 vs Schalke, meaning this game will be played more like a scrim match, effectively resulting in plenty of kills on the board.

Prediction: Over 22.5 kills – 1.925 at Pinnacle

MAD Lions vs Fnatic
Friday, March 27 – 22:00 CET

A must-win match for MAD Lions and a fixture that holds no importance for Fnatic would suggest MAD Lions will most likely come out ahead, and while it’s entirely possible they can upset Fnatic and pocket their 11th win of the split, it’s hard to imagine Fnatic will just give in and let Lions walk all over them. That being said, this game means nothing to Fnatic, who will surely play a bit more relaxed, so even if they do come out ahead, the margin won’t be as large as it would have been mid-season.

Prediction: MAD Lions +7.5 – 1.98 at Pinnacle
