Liverpool v Sevilla – Europa League Finals Betting Preview + Prediction
18 May 2016, St. Jakob-Park, 18:45 GMT +0
Neither of the teams had an easy job getting to the finals.
Liverpool winning against Augsburg (0:1), Manchester United (1:3), Dortmund (4:5) and Villareal (1:3).
And the Spanish side has beaten Molde (1:3), Basel (0:3), Ath Bilbao (3:4) and Shakhtar Donetsk (3:5).
Now they are facing the hardest match and an opportunity to write their name in history of football.
Since Jurgen Klopp took over Liverpool from Brendan Rogers, they have improved by a lot in all aspects. Despite being only 8th in BPL the “Reds” have managed to get to the European League finals 1st time after 9 long years. Even if the result won’t end in the Liverpool’s side Jurgen Klopp will be remembered as a man who has done what he promised back in October.
“I came here because I was really convinced about the qualities of these players and this squad, despite the doubts people had,” he said. “To see how they have reached this final gives me a really good feeling. “When I came here there was a big amount of doubt about these players and now I am really happy they can show how strong they are and it is a big opportunity to make the final step this season and achieve something. “I don’t feel the pressure. I cannot change. I feel opportunity, I feel the pressure of the game and developing players. “I don’t think I’ve ever felt doubt around me. If that’s right I don’t know but it makes me completely free to make decisions and for my team and myself to be free to develop together. “I am really pleased for the boys and that they can be part of the moment with this team. “We have a big chance and winning tomorrow will make it much more easy for you to see it as a success – and I try to help.”
Are the words Liverpool coach has said before going into this match. Klopp has brought freshness in the squad, as he is an exceptional coach. He stated that he is not worried about the final result, as he believes in his team to deliver, despite the painful loss in February’s Capital One Cup against Manchester City after penalties. The mental side is a big influence, obviously and Klopp has surely raised the confidence of his team, now it’s time for the squad to show what they can do.
On the other side, Sevilla are in finals for Europa League for the 3rd consecutive time. They are currently the team with the most Europa League titles, lifting the trophy 4 times (2006,2007,2014 and 2015). There is no secret they are a strong team and can play under pressure of finals match, but we believe Liverpool are favourites going into this match and have a good chance to prevent Sevilla to win this competition for the 3rd time in a row.
Liverpool have been doing exceptionally well in the league and we can see a very motivated team going on the pitch tonight. This is also Jurgen Klopp’s and of course Liverpools ticket for Champions league next season. This is a opportunity they surely won’t want to let it slip.
Take Liverpool to win this one as we believe they will be a really strong competition for the hat trick seeking Sevilla.
