Newcastle Jets – Slowing Down

Newcastle Jets enjoyed a strong start to the season, winning their opening two outings against Perth Glory (2-1) and Wellington Phoenix (3-1). Unfortunately, the Jets were far less efficient last week when they kneeled down to WS Wanderers (0-2) at CommBank Stadium.

It was a somewhat expected and well-deserved loss for the Jets, who didn’t show much. Much like Melbourne Victory, the Jets were very inefficient with the ball, with just four shots (two on goal) throughout the 90 minutes.

That’s not to say that the Jets have produced many shots in their previous matches, but such a poor offensive display should leave you wondering what the Jets can do at AAMI Park in Melbourne on Friday.
