Al Horford (C, Boston Celtic)
Al Horford is going to be playing his 5th match this season against Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday. He has been out of the line-up for 9 games prior to Saturday’s win over Pistons due to concussion and his comeback was strong. Against Pistons he has registered 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists, which was easily his best performance this season. Now the question is, will he be able to repeat his performance against Timberwolves? The upcoming match will not be as easy for Celtics as it seems. Timberwolves trio of Towns, Wiggins and Lavine are looking better with each game that passes. That deadly trio could easily make this game very hard for Celtics, but Boston has an ace up their sleeve. Al Harford. Celtics can be happy Horford has returned, as he has been brought in the team due to his interior defence. However, on the offensive end, Celtics might struggle. Minnesota has a strong defence and will not let their opponents get points easy. Al Horford has scored 18 points against Pistons, but I do not see him getting near that today.
Prediction: Al Horford Under 14.5 points
Odds: 2.00 Bet365
Tobias Harris (F, Detroit Pistons)
Tobias Harris has been solid this season, averaging 16.7 ppg, 4.8 trb and shooting 93.3% from the free throw line. His team is coming from a narrow loss against Celtics (94:92). In that match, Harris scored 19 points and added 2 rebounds to his name. Looking at Harris scoring in last 5 matches, he has scored at least 19 points on 4 occasions. It is clear that he is in form, but he should eventually see a slight uptick in his scoring numbers. For now I will take advantage of his great form and say he will perform strong against Houston Rockets with at least 16 points.
Prediction: Tobias Harris Over 15.5 points
Odds: 1.76 Bet365
Eric Gordon (G, Houston Rockets)
Against Utah Jazz, Eric Gordon had a strong impact from the bench with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 4 3-pointers. He is doing well from his bench role, helping his team with a solid number of points in each game. Looking at his last 5 performances, he has averaged 18.4 points which is higher than his career average (16.6). In the upcoming match against Detroit Pistons, Gordon will try to get clear shots from 3 point line, as he is known as “3 point specialist” and that is where a lot of his points come from. He is shooting a solid 39.6% from the deep and he consistently knocked down 3 pointers in each game played. The problem is that Pistons guard the 3-point line well and that will slow down Eric Gordon and his scoring. I predict this will be enough for him to not pass the 16 point mark.
Prediction: Eric Gordon Under 15.5 points
