Nikola Vucevic (C, Orlando Magic)
On Wednesday Orlando Magic played against Miami Heat at American Airlines Arena. In that fixture Orlando came on top after OT. By the end of regular time, the teams were tied at 109:109, but Orlando outscored Miami by 6 points (21:27) in the OT, which secured the win (130:136). The best scorer for Orlando was Nikola Vucevic with his season high 26 points, to which he added 3 assists and 12 rebounds. He was without the doubt one of the key factors that led Orlando to victory. Vucevic is performing well in recent games, scoring over 20 points in 2 out of his last 3 games. This season he is averaging 12.9 ppg, 10.9 trb and 2.5 ast. His PPG average can only go up if he continues with his latest performances. Tonight we will see Orlando visiting NY Knicks in hopes to add another win to their record. NY Knicks are currently in 5th position in the East with a record of 15-13. Despite a good position their defence is bad. On average Knick let their opponents score 108 ppg, which is ranked 25th in the league. The only reason why Knick are not in the bottom part of the league is their offense, who score on average 105.3ppg. With that in mind, that will be an excellent opportunity for Vucevic to once more score well over 10 points. Betting on Vucevic to pass the 14 point mark gives us a great value.
Prediction: Nikola Vucevic Over 13.5 points
Carmelo Anthony (F, NY Knicks)
Carmelo Anthony is coming into his next matchup against Orlando after his season high 35 points against Indiana (118:111). In that match, we saw Knicks break their 3 game losing streak with a good performance in front of their fans at Madison Square Garden. Going into 4th quarter it seemed as Knick were close to another defeat, but they managed to outscore Indiana by 10 points (34:24). This season Anthony is scoring 27ppg, to which he adds 5.9trb and 2.9 ast. Despite his somewhat poor scoring against Lakers (13pts) and Phoenix (13pts) he seemed to found his rhythm once again, as he combined 64 pts in his last 2 games. As mentioned before, Knicks perform bad in the defensive end, but they can compensate that with a great offensive work. The offense runs through Anthony and so if we will see anyone from Knicks scoring a lot of points, it will be Carmelo Anthony.
Prediction: Carmelo Anthony Over 22.5 points
