Enes Kanter (C, Oklahoma City Thunder)
Enes Kanter is coming from a 20pts game against Boston, which was his 3rd best performance this season. His current season averages are as follows; 12.8ppg, 6.1trb and 0.8 ast. Looking at his last 5 games, he has averaged 14.6pts, which is in my eyes a sign of a good form. Tonight Oklahoma faces off against Minnesota at Energy Arena, Oklahoma. Minnesota does not boast a strong defence, as they are ranked 4th worst defensive team in the league, letting their opponents score on average 102.6ppg. On the other hand Oklahoma is ranked 9th best offensive team in the league averaging 106.8ppg. Despite that I cannot call a winner in this matchup, but one thing I am sure of and that is that Kanter will continue with his great performances. I expect him to once more pass his season average of 12 points.
Prediction: Enes Kanter Over 12.5 points
Taj Gibson (PF, Chicago Bulls)
Taj Gibson is averaging 12.3ppg 7.3trb and 1.3 ast in his 29 games played this season. In his last match against Charlotte Hornets, Gibson scored 10 points, which is quite worse compared to his previous 2 games (17 pts against Washington and 16pts against Detroit). Tonight Taj Gibson and Bulls travel to San Antonio, to play against one of the best home teams in the league, the Spurs. Spurs have proven time and time again they can defend their home court. Spurs are currently ranked 3rd best defensive team, only letting their opponents score 97.9ppg on average. In the paint, Spurs only let their opponents score on average 39.9ppg. This is one of the reason I do not believe Taj Gibson will have much opportunities to repeat his performance from games against Washington and Detroit. Betting on Gibson to stay under his season average in points is for me a good value bet.
Prediction: Taj Gibson Under 12 points
