There are two NFL preseason games on the program this Friday evening. One of those is the clash between Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs; the other is the Washington Football Team vs Cincinnati Bengals game. Betting-Previews.com brings you coverage for both of those games, along with our betting picks and predictions. So, let’s start!
Arizona Cardinals vs Kansas City Chiefs
When: Friday, August 10 – 17:00 MST
Where: State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona
Weather: Sunny, 27°C
It’s going to be a hot afternoon in the desert when Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs meet for the first time since 2018. Three years ago, the Chiefs won 26-14, is the same going to happen this time as well? Let’s see!
Kyler Murray to Feature in Week 2 of the Preseason
Although he admitted he’s not a big fan of preseason games, the Arizona quarterback, Kyler Murray, will play against Kansas City. He probably isn’t going to spend too many minutes on the field, but even that should be enough to improve his team’s offensive performance.
In their first game of the preseason, the Cardinals beat the Cowboys 19-16; with just one running touchdown, the Arizona punter scored the remaining points. That said, Kyler’s return should improve their passing game.
Andy Reid Confirms Kanas City’s Starters Will Play
The Chief’s head coach has confirmed Patrick Mahomes and all the other superstars will feature in this game. However, they will play only in the first half, allowing the rookies and backups to show what they can do in the second part of the game.
Arizona Cardinals vs Kansas City Chiefs Betting Pick
The Chiefs are likely to do well in the first half when all of their players are on the field. Considering that the weather is going to be super-hot in the first two quarters, the turtleneck-wearing Chiefs probably aren’t going to score too many points.
The Cardinals will probably take advantage of that, particularly in the second half of the game. We expect them to dominate the final two quarters, getting themselves a win in the end. And even if they fail to get a victory, they probably won’t lose too heavily.
Prediction: Arizona Cardinals +2.5 Points – 2.01 at Pinnacle
Washington Football Team vs Cincinnati Bengals
When: Friday, August 20 – 20:00 EDT
Where: FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland
Weather: Cloudy, 29°C
Last Thursday, the Washington Football Team lost to the New England Patriots. Two days later, we saw the Cincinnati Bengals beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This Friday evening, the WFT is taking on the Bengals at home. Who’s going to win?
Washington Football Team to Do Better Defensively
The Washington Football Team lost the game against the New England Patriots in their first preseason game of the summer. The main reason for the defeat was the brilliant performance of the Pats’ rookie running back, Rhamondre Stevenson, who scored two touchdowns.
This time, the WFT defence must do better. They’ve learned their lesson, so you can expect them to take their game to a whole new level against the Bengals, who will also probably really on rushing for their points.
Zach Wilson (Probably) Remains Out
In Week 1 of the preseason, Cincinnati Bengals beat the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Buccaneers. The odds on the Cincinnati franchise were as long as 3.15 at some online sportsbooks. Thanks to their brilliant defensive display, they were able to keep Tampa’s offence at bay. They even managed to sack Tom Brady in that game.
Truth be told, Brady spent only a few minutes on the field, so he didn’t make too big of a contribution. The same went for all the other superstars playing for Tampa. That said, the Bengals were also without several of their starters, including their QB, Joe Burrow. The second-year quarterback will probably miss Friday’s game as well.
Washington Football Team vs Cincinnati Bengals Betting Picks
This is going to be a very close game, probably with a limited number of points. That said, we do have to give a slight advantage to the Bengals, even though the oddsmakers think otherwise. That’s why our pick is going to be Cincinnati Bengals +4.5.
Pick: Cincinnati Bengals +4.50 Points – 1.97 at Pinnacle
