Betting-Previews.com returns with another set of betting previews and predictions for the 11th day of play at WePlay Academy League. Here are our selections for four games played on Thursday, July 29.
CS:GO WePlay Academy League Day 11
A few close calls yesterday didn’t end in our favor, as we end another day in the red. Mouz NXT did us a solid one with their commanding victory against BIG Academy, but it went downhill from there, as Astralis Talent and Fnatic Rising both failed to deliver, while VP.Prodigy were unable to improve upon their first meeting with NAVI Junior and suffered another heavy loss.
With that, we’re now at 4.34 units of profit with our WePlay Academy League betting picks, 15.2% ROI, and a 51.2% hit rare across 41 selections. If you’re following our Counter-Strike: Global Offensive picks, make sure to check around for the best odds to get the most of our service!
Astralis Talent vs NAVI Junior
Thursday, July 29 – 17:00 CEST
The last time these two teams met, Astralis Talent surprised NAVI Junior with a pretty clean 16-8 victory on Vertigo. As usual, Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov was on fire with 21 frags and a 1.43 HLTV rating, but sadly his teammates failed to deliver. On the side of Astralis, Alexander “Altekz” Givskov was their best performer with 18 frags and a 1.36 HLTV rating, but we must also mention Victor “vigg0” Bisgaard and Lucas “Gnøffe” Brunsvig, who delivered with good performances.
Astralis Talent are playing like one of the two worst teams at the tournament yet again, and following their defeats against Young Ninjas and BIG Academy, their morale can’t be very high. If we go back to April, NAVI Junior crushed them 2-0, with 16-5 on Mirage and 16-8 on Overpass in a BO3 match at LOOT.BET Season 9 Closed Qualifier and a similar result is to be expected today.
Pinnacle and Bet365 have NAVI Junior to cover the spread at 1.83, while Unibet has them at 2.00, so the bet is obvious!
Prediction: NAVI Junior -4.50 Rounds – 2.00 at Unibet (0.50 Units)
Fnatic Rising vs BIG Academy
Thursday, July 29 – 18:00 CEST
Neither of these two teams impressed us in their last three outings. Fnatic Rising lost two against mouz NXT (10-16 on Dust2) and VP.Prodigy (20-22 on Overpass) and won against FURIA Academy with 16-13 on Dust2. On the other end, BIG Academy lost two against NAVI Junior (13-16 on Mirage) and mouz NXT (5-16 on Mirage) but managed to bounce back with a win against Astralis Talent, who they beat 16-3 on Ancient.
The only reason why Fnatic Rising are favorites today is the fact that they won the first match against BIG Academy (16-6 on Inferno) – on one of the BIG Academy’s weakest maps – and I don’t think BIG will allow this map to go through once again. Value bet on BIG!
Prediction: BIG +2.50 Rounds – 1.90 at Unibet (0.50 Units)
Mouz NXT vs Young Ninjas
Thursday, July 29 – 19:00 CEST
The first match between mouz NXT and Young Ninjas was quite a competitive affair on Nuke, which ended in favor of mouz NXT (16-11). Young Ninjas played well, but sadly a very weak T side prevented them from getting much from that match.
Mouz NXT and Young Ninjas are probably two of the best teams at the tournament, and while I expect a lot more from Young Ninjas, they are playing good CS at times, and they will definitely fancy their chances against mouz NXT. If Young Ninjas play the way they did against NAVI Junior and Astralis Talent, we will have a great match at our hands!
I expect a close affair. You can bet on over 26.50 Rounds at 2.00 at Bet365, which is way too much for such a match!
Prediction: Over 26.50 Rounds – 2.00 at Bet365 (0.50 Units)
VP.Prodigy vs FURIA Academy
Thursday, July 29 – 20:00 CEST
FURIA Academy have now lost eight BO1 matches in a row, which includes a loss against Astralis Talent, so their morale is likely not too high coming into this match. On a more positive note, the Brazilians managed to play some close maps, but then there were also games where they got blown out of the servers – against the likes of NAVI Junior, Young Ninjas, and Fnatic Rising.
VP.Prodigy are 3-7 at the tournament, with wins against Fnatic Rising, Young Ninjas, and FURIA Academy. VP.Prodigy have had some solid showings, but they struggle in closing out games, as reflected in the fact that most of their maps are close affairs.
They also suffered a couple of heavy losses against NAVI Junior (1-16) and against Astralis Talent (5-16)
The last time these two squads met, VP.Prodigy who came away with a W, 16-14 on Vertigo, but it is also worth noting that they were already up 14-7, yet still almost ended up losing the match!
Believe in Alexey “RuFire” Burakov his squad to get it done today. At the same time, this could turn out to be a very sloppy affair, so betting on over 26.50 rounds seems like the best bet to take here!
Prediction: Over 26.50 Rounds – 1.83 at Bet365
