WePlay Academy League Day 7
We hit two winners with our CS:GO WePlay Academy League Day 6 selections, with BIG Academy and NAVI Junior both delivering against Fnatic Rising and VP.Prodigy. We’re now at 6.76 units of profit with 25 picks, with 33% ROI and a 60% hit rate.
We will keep our previews for today’s matches short, as we are busy with other sports. However, you can expect things to get back to normal tomorrow with CS:GO WePlay Academy League Day 8, when we will go more in-depth with our previews and reasoning behind our betting picks.

Fnatic Rising vs Astralis Talent
Sunday, July 25 – 17:00 CEST
Fnatic Rising and Astralis Talent both suffered losses yesterday when they lost against NAVI Junior (9-16) and mouz NXT (16-19), respectively. Fnatic Rising enter this match as 1.34 favorites, while Astralis talent are priced at around 3.09 to upset the favorites, which seems fair.
Fnatic Rising are slightly overrated since winning a few BO1 matches doesn’t really mean anything. That said, Astralis Talent are extremely inconsistent, which makes it hard to trust them.
I was contemplating betting on Astralis Talent to win here, but Fnatic Rising will have the home team advantage as far as vetoing goes, which should give them the edge. And with Kevin “Kevve” Bohlin (former analyst for their main roster) in the team, they should be able to come out on a favorable map.
Bet on Fnatic Rising to win!
Prediction: Fnatic Rising -3.50 Rounds – 1.787 at Pinnacle (0.50 Units)
VP.Prodigy vs mouz NXT
Sunday, July 25 – 18:00 CEST
Mouz NXT enter this match with a three-game winning streak, having beaten Young Ninjas, NAVI Junior and Astralis Talent. Their last win against Astralis Talent was way closer than most of the people expected (19-16 on Inferno), but in the end, mouz managed to close it out, and that’s all that matters.
VP.Prodigy have won only one match at the tournament – against FURIA Academy – which makes it hard to make a case for them to upset one of the strongest teams at the tournament.
Although mouz NXT had some issues against certain teams, that is to be expected in BO1 matches against unknown opponents. Quality should win here; bet on Mouz NXT to win comfortably!
Prediction: mouz NXT – 4.50 Rounds – 1.75 at Unibet (0.50 Units)
FURIA Academy vs NAVI Junior
Sunday, July 25 – 19:00 CEST
FURIA Academy enter this match on a four-match losing streak, which includes losses against Fnatic Rising, VP.Prodigx, BIG Academy, and Young Ninjas. They did make it hard for BIG Academy and VP.Prodigy, but against Young Ninjas and Fnatic Rising, the Brazilians got blown out of the server.
As for NAVI Junior, they looked very good on Vertigo yesterday and secured a straightforward win against Fnatic Rising 16-9. It’s nice to see the Ukrainians finally feeling comfortable on a map that has been causing them issues before – losses against Astralis Talent (8-16) and mouz NXT (9-16).
NAVI Junior are now 3-3 at the tournament and should feel confident in their chances to make it 4-3 against FURIA Academy today. This one will come down to the map selection, which is entirely in the hands of FURIA Academy. NAVI Junior have proven to be extremely predictable with their map vetoing – FURIA should be looking to exploit this and potentially punish NAVI Junior for it!
Prediction: FURIA Academy +3.50 Rounds – 1.80 at Bet365 (0.50 Units)
Young Ninjas vs BIG Academy
Sunday, July 25 – 20:00 CEST
Young Ninjas lost against mouz NXT, NAVI Junior and Fnatic Rising, but they managed to win against Astralis Talent and FURIA Academy. On the other side, BIG Academy lost only against Fnatic Rising but strung together wins against VP.Prodigy, FURIA Academy, mouz NXT, Astralis Talent and NAVI Junior, so it is safe to say that they are in much better form than the Swedes.
If there is any value to be found in this match is has to be with the BIG Academy. They have lost only one match so far and looked quite good in their wins. Young Ninjas were touted as the second-best team prior to WePlay Academy League, but so far, they haven’t shown anything that would convince me that’s the case.
This match seems like a complete coin-toss. At 2.25, we have to stick with the Germans to secure their sixth W of the tournament.
Prediction: BIG Academy +3.50 Rounds – 1.80 at Unibet (0.50 Units)
Alternative: BIG Academy – 2.25 at Bet365 (0.50 Units)
